Good looking, charming and talented are all words that Stanley has used to describe himself. A middle class man from Kent, Stanley decided to move himself up the social ladder by finding a lower social average and so moved to Liverpool in April 2001.
A precocious comedy talent, Stanley first took the mic in 1998 and quickly rose to paid appearances in a number of London clubs. 1998 also saw him spend a month at the Edinburgh Festival both as a 'So You Think You're Funny' finalist and writing and directing Geoff Boyz's "Noise and Other Announcements". Having performed in clubs from Bristol to Glasgow, he has also broken the European market courtesy of a week in Sweden and gigs in Ireland.
With material that ranges from Thomas the Tank Engine to old ladies' footballing prowess, Stanley can also add a touch of music to the evening with songs such as Pulp's 'Devon People' (best not performed in Exeter) and teaching us all how to dance to 'I am The Walrus'. A life skill that no-one can be without.
Stanley has added writing to his formidable array of talents, completing his first sitcom (Circuit Breakers) and penning a number of comedy dramas and radio scripts.
