I was brought up on a council estate in Leyland, Lancashire. I have been active with some form of entertainment since my mid teens. Here is a brief history of my past before I started performing stand-up comedy...
I managed to get a degree in contemporary theatre (useless).
I had a gap year (on the dole, 2 stone heavier, stayed at my dads).
I worked as a singer and entertainer at Pontins (lived in a shed, met Steps).
I was the actual Barney the Dinosaur for a bit (yep, that big purple bloke).
I tried to become a rock star (played one gig at a Tesco christmas party, ok at singing but rubbish at guitar).
I was an actor and even got a big break working with an Oscar winning director (he died after the first line run, true story).
About the only thing I've ever stuck at and been any good at is being funny.
I'm currently based in Manchester and have been gigging tirelessly across the UK for 5 years. In that time I have done hundreds upon hundreds of gigs.
