Glasgow born and bread, Scott Gibson smashed onto the stand-up scene in November 2010, quickly establishing himself on the circuit. Described by Capital FM Breakfast Host, and fellow comedian Des Clarke as "The Best Act to emerge from Scotland in Years".
A storyteller at heart, Gibson mixes a conversational style with his own unique brand of dark humour. Confidently leading his audience down a path, few dare to tread. This ability to push boundaries and control any room he plays, has allowed Gibson to move up the ranks quicker than many before him.
Spreading his comedy tales Gibson is now making big waves across the border and internationally, after being invited to play at the famous Yuk Yuk's Comedy Club in Downtown Toronto. Appearing at a number of festivals including Glasgow, Edinburgh Fringe, Falkirk, RockNess, Download and TITP has seen Gibson perform alongside some of the UK's great comics.
Gibson also finds himself in demand as an MC, a strand of his work he enjoys and was described by The Skinny as "A Natural". Eva McKay (The Stand Comedy Club) commented on Gibson's MC work by saying "Scott has an energetic, angry, animated style which always injects energy into the room. A great natural compere our audiences always go for Scott in a big way". This reputation saw Gibson being named as Dead Sheep Comedy's resident MC in September 2013 and being nominated for a Scottish Variety Award in 2014.
This mix of styles and natural talent has seen Gibson being hand picked to support some of the UK's top comedians on recent tours. These include Frankie Boyle, Tom Stade, Des Clarke, Gary Little and Daniel Sloss to name a few. Not a bad group of comics to work alongside.
An impressive start to what many predict will be a great career for this young Scotsman.
