Dalin Oliver is an international award winning South African comedian, award nominated radio sports broadcaster and podcaster. 2024 Kicked off with a bang. Oliver's fresh from making his debut at Fringe World in Perth, one of the world’s biggest Fringe Festivals, where his one man show, 90 Day Comedian, won a weekly award for Best Comedy. Upon returning home, he was blown away with the news that he received three Comics Choice Comedy Awards nominations.
These accolades were awarded on the back end of his 5-city tour of Australia where he delivered gags tight enough to get pass border control in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast & Brisbane. He left the Ausie locals begging for more and managed a total of 91 performances during his 8-week tour Down Under.
In South Africa, The National Arts Festival Standard Bank Ovation Award Winner’s finest work has been enjoyed on Showmax, DSTv, Comedy Central Africa and in cinemas nationwide. Other career highlights include five solo shows, two filmed stand-up comedy specials, performances at the Jive Cape Town Funny Festival, Johannesburg International Comedy Festival as well as in Toronto Canada with the award-winning Ensemble show; Day Zero: The Water Shortage Comedy Tour.
With more than 10 years in stand-up comedy and sports broadcasting, Oliver has managed to merge the two worlds extremely well. He got the nod to host his own sports show; The Late Late Tackle with Dalin Oliver. It’s the newest talk show on the block with four-time Rugby World Cup Champions, the Springboks. The first season was a limited edition six-part series which aired on MTN’s BokSquad, the official home of the fans, prior to the team departing for the world cup in France 2023.
He was a staple part of Cape Town’s daily morning breakfast routine as the Sports Presenter on Good Hope FM’s Breakfast show, where his colourful delivery and on-air comedic flair earned him a sports presenter of the year and best breakfast show nomination at the 2023 SA Radio Awards.
He also forms one half of Non-Travelling Reserves, a sports podcast balanced with facts, comedy, and banter between friends, which was recognized at the 2023 DSTV Content Creator Awards with a Podcast of the Year nomination.
When the dynamic performer is not on stage or on-air, he can be found rocking the mic at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, ICC men’s u19 Cricket World Cup, Netball World Cup, SA20 and with the MI Cape Town, DHL Stormers and Springboks family.
