Mark Wright is a former English footballer who made his mark as a commanding central defender, particularly during his time with Liverpool FC. Joining the club in 1991, Wright quickly became a vital part of the team, leading them to FA Cup success in 1992 as captain. His defensive prowess and leadership also earned him 45 caps for the England national team, where he played a key role in their 1990 World Cup campaign, reaching the semi-finals. After retiring from playing, Wright has continued his involvement in football through coaching and media roles.
