Oleksandr Usyk, born on 17 January 1987 in Simferopol, Ukraine, is a professional boxer and one of the most technically skilled fighters of his era. Renowned for his exceptional footwork, ring IQ, and versatility, Usyk has become a dominant figure across multiple weight divisions.

After a stellar amateur career, highlighted by a gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics, Usyk turned professional in 2013. He quickly rose through the ranks to become the undisputed cruiserweight champion in 2018, unifying all four major titles. Transitioning to heavyweight, Usyk shocked the world in 2021 by defeating Anthony Joshua to win the WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO titles. He solidified his status as an elite heavyweight by defending those titles in their 2022 rematch.

A proud Ukrainian, Usyk is deeply connected to his roots and is known for his humble yet charismatic personality. As of 2024, he remains undefeated and widely regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound boxers in the world.
