Joe Amphlett and Steve Candy are the two people that make up the comedy double act 'Amphlett and Candy' using there surnames as inspiration.
They are known on the Circuit for their surreal and observational characters and sketches. But they also have other talents, with a background in Theatre both studying at Dartington College of Arts in Devon.
The duo compere regular nights in their native South London with a residency at the entertainment bar 'Metropolis' and are regulars on the London comedy circuit performing week in week out at venues all across the capital. They have also written and performed a number of plays including the tea time murder mystery 'Sugar' for the Battersea Arts Centre.
Joe and Steve can sometimes be heard on LBC radio as soap experts and have done a number of voice-overs for the station. They have also toured the universities of the south west with their acclaimed 'Amphlett and Candy do Freshers Week' Show.
Steve and Joe have a natural stage chemistry together and their performances and material are always top draw, it is however often their improvised interactions with their audiences that gives us a real glimpse into how
wickedly funny they really are.
