Comedy Course for Beginners is Liverpool's original stand-up comedy course, it has a new home at Hot Water Comedy Club.

Since 2002 the course has produced hundreds of graduates with many going on to pursue careers in the industry. The course is delivered by one of the UK comedy circuit’s finest professional comedians, Rob Thomas. Rob is an established comedian on the national circuit who performs regularly at major clubs and festivals in the UK, he's also supported household names on their tours, Paul Smith, Troy Hawke, Adam Rowe. With years of experience they can share their industry secrets and help guide you towards a career and / or skills in Stand Up comedy. Over the six weeks the course will teach you the skills required to perform a comedy routine of your own culminating in a live performance in front of family and friends on the stage.

Where does it take place?
Sessions will be located at Liverpool's premier live entertainment venue Blackstock Market, also home of Hot Water Comedy Club. The final showcase will take place in one of Hot Water's iconic theatres. All sessions are 6-8pm on a Thursday with the final being 8-10pm on the final week.

What's the cost?
The cost of each place on the Comedy Course for Beginners is £180 (£30 per session). This includes 6 sessions, final performance, comp tickets to give to friends and family, plus support between sessions where necessary for the duration of the course.

Cancellation and Booking
Please note: To secure your place on the programme we require payment, places are on a first come first served basis and there are only 10 places per programme. All transfers and cancellations must be made in writing and need to be requested at least one month prior to the course start date. Unfortunately we are unable to refund cancellations and accommodate transfers if one month's notice isn't given
